Sri Lanka Earthlanka Youth Network
EarthLanka Youth Network is slowly yet steadily beginning to expanding its outreach and form strategic partnerships with likeminded organizations and individuals through the youth online community , working with young network under EarthLanka which was registered under Central Environment Authority, Ministry of Environment Sri Lanka since 2010. The online EarthLanka youth network which has been working in actively since 2015 as an individual body now registered as EarthLanka Youth Network (Guarantee) limited working heavily with young people in recognizing them in the society and to bring up their initiatives for the development in Sri-Lanka.

Au cours de l’année 2017, nous avons organisé la première activité de commémoration pour Act4SDGs avec un chat Twitter sur la jeunesse et la justice climatique. Depuis 2018, nous participons à la campagne Act4SDG pour promouvoir l’égalité des sexes dans les sciences océaniques. Cette année, en 2022, nous célébrerons la campagne Act4SDGs au Sri Lanka par une cascade sous-marine dirigée par des femmes. l’activité se déroulera sur la côte Est du Sri Lanka. La cascade sous-marine contribuera également à promouvoir les magnifiques récifs coralliens qui ont été touchés par le scénario El Niño.
Key objective
Mise en œuvre de l’ODD 14 au Sri Lanka.
Mobiliser les jeunes pour piloter la conservation côtière et marine.
Promouvoir la participation des femmes dans l’océanographie.
Restauration des écosystèmes marins.
Sensibilisation des écoles à l’ODD 14.
Promouvoir la connaissance des océans
