BIO Natura GABON
Key objectives
Bio Natura Gabon aims to:
- Expand the nursery to cultivate more indigenous trees, prioritising species with known nutritional or medicinal value.
- Develop a processing facility with an integrated laboratory to produce more bio-fortified food products and supplementary phytopharmaceutical products every month.
- Create new jobs within the local community, with a target of at least 50% filled by women.
- Partner with local organisations to distribute products to as many people as possible living in poverty and ensuring all children are beneficiaries.
Cultivating a Brighter Future: Food, Health, and Sustainability
This purpose-driven organisation tackles hunger, empowers communities, and protects the environment through a holistic approach.
Nourishing Communities and Empowering Lives
Bio-fortified Foods: They cultivate nutrient-rich crops to combat malnutrition, particularly for vulnerable populations. These crops provide essential vitamins and minerals naturally, promoting better health outcomes.
Essential Supplements: They develop dietary supplements to bridge nutritional gaps, ensuring people get the essential micro-nutrients they need to thrive.
Plant-Powered Solutions: They harness the power of plants to create phytopharmaceutical products, offering natural solutions for well-being.
From Seed to Sustainability
Their commitment goes beyond immediate needs. They are dedicated to environmental sustainability:
Indigenous Treasures: They plants and protects native trees, ensuring a sustainable approach to resource management and biodiversity conservation.
Nature’s Pharmacy: These native trees are the foundation for their bio-fortified foods, supplements, and phytopharmaceutical products. The trees provide essential ingredients naturally, reducing reliance on external resources.
Empowering Change: Their model empowers people living on as little as $2 per day to participate in the initiative, fostering financial independence and a brighter future for themselves and their communities.
Partnerships for Progress
Bio Natura Gabon’s success is built on collaboration. They were selected by the World Resources Institute’s Land Accelerator program in 2021, demonstrating their innovative approach. Additionally, they have established a thriving nursery with 5,000 trees, laying the groundwork for a sustainable future.
